It works because it’s a bit of obscurity, not because it’s expensive. Once it’s a big enough problem the scrapers will adapt and then the only option is to make it more obscure/different or crank up the difficulty which will slow down genuine users much more
Electronic payments without visa and MasterCard maybe?
Yeah has seemed like a bit of a waste of time, once that difficulty gets scaled up and expiration down it’s gonna get annoying to use the web on phones
How did it improve your workflow?
Yes most IPv6 devices are responsible for giving themselves addresses with SLAAC. Some networks use DHCPv6 but they should only be used where SLAAC is not possible
Use ipv6 privacy addresses and temporary addresses and you can stop thinking about it (the default on most os)
Guys this is huge
ID/age verification for apps is being built so only google signed and integrity verified apps can run, that would prevent any age verified apps running on non-official android OS like graphene.
This will have to change when apps are coming from any random app store and can no longer use these google attestation services
My point is, and the author’s point is, it’s not computation that’s keeping the bots away right now. It’s the obscurity and challenge itself getting in the way.
